Hello you lovely lot,
We thought that we would introduce the team here at The Greener Earth Project so you can get to know the people that shape and run the organisation. You have learnt a little bit about me already, but there’s a lot more to talk about,
Co-founder & Executive Director
Why did you decide to start The Greener Earth Project?:
After a lot of talk with co-founder Jorden, we decided that we wanted to help
make a change. I knew I wanted to make changes in my life to help others, to be
able to try and give my little boy the best life possible.
I didn’t know how much my eyes would be opened to what’s happening around the world. I thought I knew a lot, but boy was I wrong. I’m so happy we have been able to offer others a simple way to help the planet.
I can’t wait to see what we will be on our one year anniversary!
What do you do in your role?:
My main roles are all to do with branding. I have control of all our social media as
well as this wonderful blog, I get to speak to so many amazing companies and
individuals that help inspire me to do so much more. We have so many exciting
projects that we can’t wait to show you very soon!
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself:
I actually planted my first tree back in 2008. This was when I went to Costa Rica on a world challenge expedition. Who would have thought that it would have started the changes I want to make in the future.
What’s been your favourite eco swap?:
This is a hard one because I’ve loved so many and Plastic Free July certainly got
me on the right track. I must admit I do love going to my local refill centre. The
whole experience is wonderful, especially during this crazy time!
What’s your favourite animal?:
As you can probably tell from the photo, my favourite animal is a leopard. I think they are so beautiful and you will always find me with some sort of leopard print.
What do you find the hardest when trying to be eco?:
I guess for me it’s trying to find the right products that will not only work for my
family, but are actually eco-friendly. I’ve found some places that say they're
green, but still delivery to you from other countries and are wrapped in plastic.
Sometimes it’s hard trying to do all the relevant research.
What’s your favourite colour?:
I don’t really have a one. It all depends on the day I’m having really. Probably sounds weird, but it changes from day to day.
What’s your next eco goal?:
Well, I am trying to be more green fingered. I started a compost pile at the end of
my garden, but haven’t got it sorted in the bin yet! So far the only plants I haven’t
killed are the tomatoes. I have so much to learn but hope that this time next year
I won’t be killing everything I try to grow haha!
What’s your next eco goal? I would love to know what you are all doing.
Until next time.
Thank you for reading,
Love Demi x
